Community rules

The limited Community Greenhouse is open for approved milestone cards and tulip reactions.

Practice channels - rules version 2026-09-24

Verified adults can deliberately join channels for professions and interests after accepting these rules. Profile choices suggest channels but never enrol you automatically. Members can hear authored Dutch prompts, share a prepared phrase, give a prepared reply and encourage each other. This is language practice, not professional, medical, legal or immigration advice.

Channel posts are shown to eligible members, including their public garden names. Membership lists and email addresses are not published. Free text, uploads, contact details and external links cannot be posted. You can delete your own contribution, report a contribution, or block its author. Leaving hides your contributions in that channel; opting out of Community hides all your posts and removes channel memberships. Rejoining does not republish hidden posts.

Reports use the same owner-operated moderation queue, decision notices and appeals as other community posts. New channel posting pauses when moderation coverage is unavailable. Prepared content reduces abuse opportunities but does not remove the need to handle reports. For illegal content or urgent concerns, contact the support address below with the post identifier and the reason for your report. Do not include confidential patient, employer or identity records.

Current status

Verified adults may opt in, choose a public garden name and share a fixed Dutch milestone card. There are no free-text posts, links, photos, precise locations or direct messages. Your account email is never shown.

Be constructive

Support language learning with patience and good faith.
Respect names, backgrounds, accents, identities and ability levels.
Ask before giving direct feedback or starting a private conversation.
Keep corrections about language—not a person's worth.

Do not post

Harassment, hate, threats, sexual exploitation, graphic violence or encouragement of self-harm.
Spam, scams, impersonation, fraud or attempts to move someone into an unsafe transaction.
Private contact details, precise location, identity documents or confidential patient/employer information.
Copyright-infringing material or dangerous medical, legal or immigration claims presented as professional advice.

Consent and control

Community participation is opt-in and separate from having an account. By default, every achievement stays private in Notifications until you tap Share. Verified adults may separately enable automatic milestone posting; it applies only to approved preset cards and can be turned off at any time. You can delete your own post, report a post, report a learner or instantly block a learner using separately labelled controls. Opting out hides your posts and disables automatic posting.

Moderation

Reports enter an owner-operated moderation queue and may result in no action, a reminder, a hidden post or paused community sharing. Learning access is separate. Decisions include a reason and appear as an in-app notice. Eligible decisions can be appealed once from that notice; the appeal decision is also recorded and shown in the app. New posting may be temporarily closed whenever moderation coverage is unavailable. Use the Support page for an urgent safety concern. Generated avatars remain private and cannot be attached to milestone cards in this release.
